Sustainability
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and this starts with our manufacturing process. We ensure that all our products are manufactured ethically, with sustainable materials and socially responsible procedures.
We are conscious of our intention to move away from consumption-based production, which means our workshops are purely concerned with the quality of our bags rather than the quantity produced.
As a result, we do not seek to over produce in order to minimise cost. We keep a small range and tight stockholding, and production is measured to ensure no wastage through stock write-off.

Unsere Produkte entstehen in kleinen, ethisch geprüften Werkstätten mit Respekt für Menschen und Materialien. Wir verwenden so wenig Verpackung wie möglich und vermeiden unnötigen Abfall. Durch die enge Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Partnern schaffen wir Transparenz, echte Handwerkskunst und nachhaltiges Wachstum.
Our Production
Jede Tasche von Velden entsteht in kleinen Werkstätten in Italien und China. Dort arbeiten erfahrene Handwerker in kleinen Teams. Mit Blick fürs Detail und einen ruhigen, gleichmäßigen Rhythmus. Wir setzen bewusst auf Partnerschaft und echtes Handwerk statt Massenproduktion. So bleibt Qualität in jedem Schritt spürbar.
Ethically Sourced
Die Menschen in unseren Werkstätten arbeiten unter fairen Bedingungen, in Teams, die klein genug sind, um jedem Detail volle Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken. Jeder Schritt der Herstellung, vom Zuschnitt bis zur letzten Naht, findet an einem Ort statt. So entsteht echte Qualität, mit Klarheit, Kontrolle und ohne Kompromisse bei Menschen oder Materialien.

Reclaimed full- grain leather
'Reclaimed' or 'repurposed' leather means we source hides which would otherwise be discarded. We use 'saddle leather' cow hide for durability, and we nourish it with a balsam containing beeswax, carnauba wax, jojoba and avocado oil. This stops stiffening, gives it a vintage texture and makes it water resistant.
